Kronach, 29th of April 2020. The new start of Loewe continues to gather momentum. Preparations for the resumption of production at the company's headquarters in Kronach, Franconia, are completed on schedule. As one of the last suppliers in the consumer electronics market the traditional brand continues to rely on manufacturing in Germany and has now started production. In addition to the automated production, 30 specialized employees in a line designed for hand-made manufacture ensure the production of premium TV sets with OLED technology.
Following the acquisition of the brand and the re-establishment of Loewe Technology GmbH, the new management is working with full steam on the successful repositioning of the company. The label "Made in Germany" plays a central role in this process, to which Loewe is continuing to remain loyal by starting production at the Kronach location. The company is relying on two-stage production and is complementing the automated production of TV sets with a separate line for handmade products. Here, the premium models with OLED technology are manufactured by specially trained employees and undergo extensive manual testing before delivery. Thus Loewe lives up to its claim to offer first-class design and sophisticated technologies with the quality seal "Made in Germany". Both production areas are located at Loewe's home base and currently have a total of 30 employees working in single-shift operation at full capacity.
Parallel to the start of production, Loewe is also pushing ahead with its plans to set up a centre for research, design and development. This has also been established in Kronach. In addition to new LCD and OLED televisions, the goal is to drive forward the development of new products and thus the expansion of the Loewe portfolio to incorporate new categories. Here too, Loewe relies on quality in design and development as well as internationally recognized German craftsmanship and engineering. Currently 20 highly qualified employees are responsible for the development and design of new products. This brings the total number of employees at the Kronach site to 90.
The supply of Loewe service parts has already been running since February. At the same time, the newly formed company has started to deliver products from the well-known portfolio to its trading partners. This means that all product lines, from Loewe bild 1 to the current top model Loewe bild 7, are now available again at authorized dealers.
"We are overwhelmed and motivated by the large amount of extremely positive feedback in the last days and weeks", says Aslan Khabliev, Managing Director of Loewe Technology GmbH, happily. "This makes it all the more important now that we make very good progress in building up the operative business and also with regard to the restart of production. We expect to be able to keep to our original schedule - despite the current difficult market situation, which affects both us and our partners in the retail sector. Nevertheless, we are consistently focusing on cooperation with the specialist dealers and are working on solutions to keep our partners up to date in a transparent and reliable manner and to provide them with the best possible support."
